About
Kunal Bahl is a co-founder and promoter of AceVector, the Gurugram-headquartered group that owns the value e-commerce marketplace Snapdeal, the listed e-commerce software company Unicommerce eSolutions and the consumer brands business Stellaro Brands. He is AceVector's joint managing director alongside his long-time partner Rohit Kumar Bansal; the company says their friendship began in Class 11, when both were 16. Bahl went through the University of Pennsylvania's Jerome Fisher Program in Management and Technology, earning a bachelor's in economics from the Wharton School and a bachelor's in applied science from the engineering school, and worked briefly at Microsoft before returning to India in 2007. The company now called AceVector was incorporated that September as Jasper Infotech, and Snapdeal launched in February 2010 as a daily deals site before becoming an online marketplace in 2011. Going into AceVector's ₹420 crore IPO in September 2026, Bahl held 12.19% of the company. He also co-founded the early-stage investment firm Titan Capital and has appeared as an investor on Shark Tank India.
Bahl has taken on a series of industry and policy roles. AceVector's prospectus says he chaired the Confederation of Indian Industry's start-up council for 2023-24, 2024-25 and 2025-26, is a nominated non-official member of the government's National Startup Advisory Council, and earlier sat on NASSCOM's executive committee and chaired CII's National Committee on e-Commerce in 2020-21. He has also served on the board of governors of ICRIER and as an independent director of Piramal Enterprises, and is a nominee director of Unicommerce, which went public in 2024. The Economic Times named him Entrepreneur of the Year for 2014-15, and he was on Fortune India's 40 under 40 list in 2014. In December 2023 he was one of the judges on Prime Video's Mission Start Ab.
