About
Puneet Agarwal is a co-founder of Moneyview, the Bengaluru-based digital lender, and its managing director and chief executive. He has been a director since the company was incorporated as Whizdm Innovations on 11 August 2014, and the board redesignated him managing director and CEO in September 2025 for a five-year term. He holds a B.Tech in mechanical engineering from IIT Delhi and a master's in management from Purdue University. Agarwal began his career at McKinsey & Company, then moved to Capital One in the United States, where he worked on new products and payment solutions, and later joined Google, where Moneyview says he helped drive its payments product in the US in its early years. He also worked at Bling Nation. He started Moneyview with Sanjay Aggarwal to make credit easier to access for Indians, and the company now offers unsecured personal loans to underserved and new-to-credit borrowers through partner lenders and its own NBFC, Whizdm Finance. Moneyview's ₹1,092 crore IPO in September 2026 drew bids 98.46 times the shares on offer, and the stock listed on 1 October 2026 at a 63.56% premium to its ₹34 issue price on BSE.
As a promoter and selling shareholder in the IPO, Agarwal sold about 1.35 crore shares for ₹46.06 crore and kept about 11.97 crore shares, according to Inc42. The red herring prospectus shows that the board approved a one-time performance-based incentive of ₹160 crore for him, paid in March 2026, on top of annual pay of ₹4 crore. The prospectus names Agarwal, Sanjay Aggarwal and Sushma Abburi as Moneyview's promoters.
