About

Rohit Kumar Bansal is a co-founder and promoter of AceVector, the parent of the value e-commerce marketplace Snapdeal, the software company Unicommerce and the consumer brands business Stellaro Brands, where he is joint managing director alongside Kunal Bahl. Born in Malout, Punjab, he went to Delhi Public School in New Delhi and earned bachelor's and master's degrees in computer science and engineering from IIT Delhi. Before turning entrepreneur he worked as an assistant manager in analysis at Capital One Services (India). Bansal and Bahl, friends since meeting in Class 11, began their venture in 2007 and launched Snapdeal on 4 February 2010; Bansal served as Snapdeal's chief operating officer. He has been with the company since its inception and also co-founded Titan Capital, the early-stage firm through which the two invest their own money. Going into AceVector's ₹420 crore IPO in September 2026 he held 10.93% of the company, and he is also a promoter and nominee director of the listed subsidiary Unicommerce eSolutions.

Bansal and Bahl were recognised together in Snapdeal's early growth years: AceVector's prospectus lists Bansal's Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year (Startup) award in 2014 and the Bombay Management Association's Entrepreneur of the Year for 2013-14, followed by a place on the Economic Times 40 Under Forty list in 2015. In 2019, after Snapdeal's turnaround, the Economic Times gave him its Comeback Kid of the Year award. He chaired the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry's committee on start-ups in 2023. Besides the two founders' direct holdings, B2 Professional Services LLP, owned by their wives, held 10.87% of AceVector before the IPO.
