A BITS Pilani graduate with an MBA from IIM Calcutta, he worked at Nomura before starting an early logistics venture, Bundl, with Nandan Reddy. When that did not take, the pair turned to food delivery and launched Swiggy in 2014 with Rahul Jaimini. He has led the company as chief executive through its expansion into quick commerce and its November 2024 listing.
