FreshTerra, a retail venture launched by Elixiir Foods, has raised $9 million in a seed round led by 3one4 Capital, with Incubate Fund Asia also taking part. The company said the capital will support an omnichannel grocery platform built around technology. The venture has been founded by Arvind Mediratta and Ambuj Narayan, described in the announcement as retail industry veterans. FreshTerra intends to sell fresh produce, gourmet foods, dairy, meat, seafood and health-focused grocery lines, positioning itself as a premium but value-driven option for shoppers. Its first store is open in Gurugram, and a mobile application is live for online ordering and home delivery. The company said later outlets will include in-store services such as live flour milling, spice grinding and cold-pressed oil extraction. According to the company, the round will fund store expansion across Delhi-NCR, a technology platform, direct sourcing from farmers, private-label brand development, wholesale and distribution infrastructure, and logistics improvements. FreshTerra said it plans to cut out several layers of intermediaries in its supply chain. The article notes that lead investor 3one4 Capital expects the next wave of consumer retail platforms to pair operational execution with technology and supply chain innovation.
