Generative AI startup Ayna has raised $1.5 million in funding led by Inflexor Ventures to enhance its AI capabilities, expand its team, and make high-quality product photography accessible to businesses.
Ayna, founded in 2023, helps brands like Reliance Retail's Clovia and Wakefit produce studio-quality product photoshoots at scale and plans to expand into the US market and partner with various marketplaces.
Generative artificial intelligence (AI) startup Ayna, specializing in product photography, has successfully raised $1.5 million in a funding round led by Inflexor Ventures. The Bengaluru-based company plans to use the funds to enhance its AI capabilities, expand its team, and make high-quality product photography accessible to all businesses.
“This investment will enable us to push the boundaries of generative AI and deliver unparalleled value to our customers,” said cofounder Aastha Rajpal.
Founded in 2023 by Rajpal and Yash Bansal, Ayna leverages generative AI to help businesses produce studio-quality product photoshoots on a large scale. The platform serves notable brands such as Reliance Retail's Clovia, Wakefit, and WomanLikeU. Ayna's technology allows brands to manage their product images by specifying precise requirements, changing elements, and experimenting with various styles.
The startup is planning to expand its reach into the US market and is actively seeking partnerships with several marketplaces to extend the reach of its AI technology to more sellers.
“This funding enables us to enhance our technology further, aiming to make virtual immersive and hyper-personalized shopping experiences accessible to all brands, thereby blurring the lines between online and offline shopping,” said cofounder Yash Bansal.
Commenting on the investment, Murali Krishna Gunturui, principal at Inflexor Ventures, said, “Ayna’s innovative technology and impressive early achievements highlight the team’s potential to significantly enhance the online shopping experience. We are confident that Ayna will emerge as a leader in AI-driven fashion and e-commerce solutions.”
The investment in Ayna comes amid a surge in funding for generative AI startups. On March 5, enterprise-led generative AI solutions provider Ema raised $25 million from investors led by Accel, Section 32, and Prosus Ventures. Earlier, on January 30, enterprise conversational and generative AI platform Kore.ai secured $150 million in a funding round led by FTV Capital with participation from Nvidia and existing investors such as Vistara Growth, Sweetwater PE, NextEquity, Nicola, and Beedie.
Ayna’s innovative approach and the new funding will enable the startup to push forward in revolutionizing product photography, offering businesses a cost-effective solution for creating high-quality images that enhance the online shopping experience.
