Recent approvals for three private semiconductor proposals, totaling ₹1.26 lakh crore, demonstrate industry confidence in India's chip ambitions. These include the landmark project by the Tata Group to establish the country's first semiconductor fab unit in Gujarat, alongside established players like Micron setting up assembly and testing facilities.
