About
Sonu Kumar is a co-founder and the chief technology officer of Arivihan, an Indore-based platform that uses AI to tutor school students. An IIT Roorkee alumnus, he worked for about three years in software architecture and development across machine learning, Android, backend systems and DevOps, with stints at Thermo Fisher Scientific, LivePerson and Digit88 Technologies, and co-founded an earlier venture called Prago, according to Arivihan's leadership page, which lists him as Sonu Kumar Prashant. He started Arivihan in 2022 with fellow IIT Roorkee graduate Ritesh Singh Chandel and maths educator Rushabh Kothari. The platform runs interactive video lectures, automated doubt-solving and personalised study plans without live teachers, mainly for Class 12 state board, CBSE and NEET students in smaller cities and rural areas, and plans to invest further in AI and Indian-language capabilities. Arivihan raised a $4.17 million pre-Series A round in July 2025 and a $10.2 million Series A co-led by Accel and Prosus Ventures in September 2026.
