Arivihan raises $10.2 million Series A co-led by Accel and Prosus

Indore-based Arivihan, which runs an AI tutoring platform for school students, has raised $10.2 million in a Series A co-led by Accel and Prosus Ventures. The round, its second in about 15 months, will pay for expansion into more states and new offerings for CBSE students.

Arivihan, an Indore-based edtech startup that uses AI to tutor school students, has raised $10.2 million (about ₹98 crore) in a Series A round co-led by its existing investors Accel and Prosus Ventures, Inc42 reported on 30 September 2026.

Accel and Prosus together put in $10 million. The remaining $200,000 came from angel investors linked to the GSF accelerator: Dinesh Chandra Agrawal, Dinesh Gulati and Rajesh Sawhney. Regulatory filings reported earlier by Entrackr, via Startup Story Media, showed the board approving 4,648 Series A preference shares at ₹2,06,248.06 each to raise ₹95.86 crore, with Accel and Prosus each committing ₹47.48 crore and angels, including Gaurav Kapur, contributing about ₹91 lakh.

What the money is for

Arivihan said it will use the funds to expand across more of India, launch new offerings for CBSE students, strengthen its AI and vernacular-language technology, increase performance marketing and build on-ground distribution. The filings cited by Entrackr list working capital and general expansion as the uses.

Accel's Anagh Prasad said the firm sees Arivihan's AI tutor as an early large-scale proof that personalised online teaching can rival expensive in-person coaching, noting that it has already helped "several lakh students" prepare for major exams.

The round comes as investors return to Indian edtech after a long slump. Inc42 data shows the sector drew just $249 million in 2025, down 56% from the year before, but AI-led learning products have started attracting new funding.

About Arivihan

Arivihan was founded by Ritesh Singh Chandel and Sonu Kumar, both IIT Roorkee alumni, together with maths educator Rushabh Kothari. It describes itself as a fully automated tutoring platform: interactive video lessons, doubt-solving and personalised study plans are delivered without human teachers. Its courses cover Class 12, CBSE and NEET preparation, and it focuses on students in tier-II cities and rural areas in states such as Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Bihar.

Including this round, the startup has raised more than $15 million. It raised $4.2 million in a pre-Series A in July 2025, led by Prosus and Accel, and before that received seed funding through Accel's Atoms accelerator in 2024.

After the allotment, filings show Accel India holding 23.54% and Prosus 18.57%. Entrackr estimated the post-round valuation at about ₹570 crore, up from about ₹171 crore at the pre-Series A. In FY25, Arivihan's revenue rose to ₹3.14 crore from ₹21.29 lakh a year earlier, with a loss of ₹4.45 crore; it has not yet filed FY26 results.
